Hi @Patti772,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble installing the 67XL ink cartridges into your HP Envy 6055 printer, here are some steps to help.

Check Cartridge Compatibility

Ensure that the HP 67XL cartridges are compatible with your printer. The HP Envy 6055 supports HP 67 and 67XL ink cartridges.

Power On the Printer

  • Turn on your printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • The cartridge carriage should move to the center for easy access.

Remove Any Protective Materials

  • Make sure you have removed the plastic tape (orange pull-tab) from the new cartridges.
  • Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles.

Insert the Cartridges Correctly

  • Black Cartridge (67XL Black) goes into the right slot.
  • Tri-Color Cartridge (67XL Color) goes into the left slot.
  • Hold the cartridge by the sides and slide it into the slot at a slight upward angle.
  • Push it in until you hear a click.

Check for Blockages

  • If the cartridges are not going in, inspect the cartridge slots for any debris or misaligned parts.
  • If you previously had issues with stuck cartridges, try gently wiggling them into place.

Reset the Printer

  • Close the cartridge door and restart the printer.
  • If an error message appears, remove the cartridges and reinsert them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
