Hi @Roersvps ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you need to replace the cartridge. Sure, I can guide you through the process. On the HP OfficeJet Pro 8020e series printers, replacing the cartridge typically involves these steps:
- Turn on the printer: Make sure your printer is turned on before you start replacing the cartridge.
- Access the cartridge area: Open the access door or lid on your printer. The location of this door can vary depending on the model, but it's usually on the front or top of the printer.
- Wait for the carriage to move: Once you open the access door, the carriage containing the cartridges should move to the center of the printer, allowing you easy access to the cartridges.
- Identify the cartridge: Locate the cartridge that needs to be replaced. Each cartridge slot is usually labeled with a color (like black, cyan, magenta, and yellow) or a number.
- Remove the old cartridge: Press down gently on the cartridge you want to replace and then pull it out of its slot.
- Prepare the new cartridge: Take the new cartridge out of its packaging. Remove any protective tape or plastic covers from the cartridge.
- Insert the new cartridge: Slide the new cartridge into the empty slot. Make sure it's inserted firmly and securely.
- Close the access door: Once you've replaced all the necessary cartridges, close the access door or lid of the printer.
- Alignment: Some printers may require alignment after cartridge replacement. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to align the cartridges for optimal print quality.
- Test print: Finally, print a test page to ensure that the cartridges are installed correctly and that the printer is functioning properly.
