Try these steps:

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the new ink cartridges are properly installed and compatible with your printer model.

Perform Printhead Cleaning:

  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Tools.
  • Select Clean Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.

Perform Printhead Alignment:

  • If the printer software does not allow alignment, perform a manual calibration:
  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
  • Follow the instructions and print the alignment page.

Check for Clipped or Blocked Nozzles:

  • Print a test page to see if the color nozzles are firing properly.
  • If the printout shows missing colors, perform a more detailed printhead cleaning.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure the printer firmware is up-to-date. Firmware updates can resolve compatibility and functional issues.
  • Visit the HP Support page and search for your HP OfficeJet 6962 printer model.
  • Download and install any available firmware updates.
