NOTE: I used "Select a product I do not own" as HP would not recognize my serial number, which was accurate. The printer was in my HP account befoer I removed it.
I retired my working HP 8600 as it is old and I thought it should be replaced by purchasing a HP Officejet Pro 8135e which was faulty and had to be returned, I reinstalled the HP 8600 and all the functions are working except it is stating my cyan ink cartridge is damaged. The HP 951 cyan cartridge has has been replaced with 3 brand new HP 951 cartridges with no luck. Is it possible that the printer receptacle/printhead is clogged? If it is, how do I clean it. If I can't resolve the problem, I will purchase the most basic HP printer/scanner that I can find. I no longer need all the bells and whistles.

I don't have an instant ink account. I am trying to get my cyan working, but I think my cartridge holder may be clogged. I want to know if, and how. I can clean it. Like I said I have put in 3 new HP951 cyan cartridges with no success, I keep getting the cyan cartridge is damaged. All 3 new cartridges can't be bad. If the cartridge holder isn't the problem then most likely it would be easier to replace the printer. Fortunately my scan and MODI features are working and I can update the files and print them later.
Thank you for your reply
NOTE: I have removed and cleaned the printhead and cartgridge and still no resolution. The problem may be electrical in nature. As soon as I purchase a new printer I will be uninstalling and recycling my HP 8600. If I haven't marked my question as answered, I will do so after posting this edit.
