HP Smart Tank 7301 All-in-One 

I have a problem finding out what is causing the operation error E3 to my 7301 model.
The IPH and IIC are not completing the start-up and calibration process performance.

With power off, or on, my carriage is easily able to be slid-right and left-it stays where it is left.
When turned on E3 message does not appear.
Upon connecting to Wi-Fi the carriage begins moving to the right.
As the carriage goes as toward the right vertical end point, it slams quickly 5 times into a white clip at the right bottom corner; then auto stops start up process, the E3 ! appear on the screen.

I'm wondering if the clip supposed to connect with the carriage and fails? Or is that clip in the wrong position?

I need to know if this can be repaired, or should I start looking replacement?
