I have a set of 3rd party cartridges that are now blocked . Whatever you did needs to be undone

Firmware update caused my replacement cartridges in my printer to stop working forceing me to throw them away and purchase the much more expensive HP cartridges.  Now I have used the cartridges several times and have had no problems - until now.  I have 3 HP products currently in my home but I can assure you that there will NOT be a 4th.  This stinks and you are not the only choice out there.
