Hi @flb24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re facing an issue with the toner reloading system on your HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw printer. This printer uses a toner reload kit instead of a traditional toner cartridge, which involves a different method of installation. Here’s how you can properly install the toner reload kit:

Prepare the Printer:

  • Open the toner reload door on your printer. This is usually located on the top or side of the printer.

Check the Toner Reload Kit:

  • Ensure you have the correct toner reload kit for your HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw model. It should be labeled appropriately, often as HP 103A or HP 143A, depending on your printer model and region.

Inserting the Toner Reload Kit:

  • Insert the toner reload kit into the loading port. Make sure it is aligned correctly with the port. The correct orientation will usually have the toner reload kit’s nozzle fitting snugly into the printer’s slot.
  • Do not force the kit into the slot as it should naturally fit without excessive pressure.

Turning the Toner Reload Kit:

  • Once the kit is in place, you should be able to turn it gently. If the kit does not turn easily, it may not be properly aligned. Pull it out slightly, adjust its position, and try again.
  • Typically, you will turn the kit clockwise until it stops. This process transfers the toner from the reload kit into the printer’s internal reservoir.

Complete the Installation:

  • After turning the kit completely (usually a full turn is sufficient), pull the kit out of the slot.
  • Close the toner reload door.

Test the Printer:

  • After reloading the toner, it’s a good idea to run a test print to ensure everything is working correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
