@Jammer75, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It's not recommended to use expired cartridges as they can cause damage to your printer, potentially voiding any warranties
First, let’s try a hard reset on the printer, sometimes it just needs a little nudge to recognize expired cartridges. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait about 60 seconds. While it's off, remove the expired cartridges. Then, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and reinsert the cartridges.
Try ignoring the error message. Printers will let you bypass the expiration warning by pressing OK, Continue or Hide on the touchscreen.
Lastly, if the printer is blocking third-party cartridges or enforcing HP’s cartridge protection, you may need to disable that setting in Printer Preferences on your computer.
NOTE: HP printers are designed to work best with genuine HP ink cartridges. Using third-party or refilled cartridges can sometimes lead to compatibility issues, print quality problems, or even damage to the printer.
Try these steps, and hopefully, those cartridges won’t go to waste! Let me know what works! 🤞💸😊
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
