I just purchased an HP 6000 Envy. I can print photos in color and documents in black and white. It doesn't give me the option to print documents in color. I'm running Mac Sonoma and can't figure out how to fix this.

Hi @CDMikeals,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To enable color printing on your HP Envy 6000 from your Mac running Sonoma, try the following steps.
Check Print Settings:
- Open the document you want to print.
- Click on File > Print (or press Command + P).
- In the print dialog, look for a section labeled Color or Output.
- Ensure that "Color" is selected instead of "Grayscale" or "Black and White."
Update Printer Drivers:
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP Envy 6000 and click on Options & Supplies.
- Check for driver updates and install any available updates.
Check Printer Preferences:
- Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP printer and click on Print Queue.
- From the menu bar, click on Printer > Print Settings.
- Ensure the color options are set correctly.
Use HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the App Store.
- The app may provide additional settings for color printing that are not available in the default print dialog.
Restart Devices:
- Sometimes, simply restarting your Mac and printer can resolve issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
