Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer is HP Envy 6000 Series. Received warning that black ink level was very low. Replaced with new genuine HP black ink cartridge but ink level still registering as low, and there is no black print output.

I followed the suggested procedure with a new genuine replacement cartridge. This time successful, so thanks for the advice.

The original issue was caused by a faulty ink cartridge. I took this back to the retailer (Argos) and explained the problem. Argos gave me a full refund - no questions asked!

You might need to restart your computer and printer.  I had to restart computer and unplug power cable on printer and then plug it back in to get it to acknowledge the new ink cartridges.  Hope that helps!

Thank you for your response - which was helpful. I have followed the procedure but unfortunately the printer still fails to recognise the cartridge. I will buy another cartridge just in case there is a fault with the one I have tried to install... and will provide feedback,
