HP Deskjet 2640

Had not used my printer in a while, tried to print a copy of my tax return from last year, and they came out all blank pages. Went to the health page, and it keeps showing me what my printer supposed to look like, and the screen on it, but it is not accurate. I do not have an OK button, for instance. Please help

Welcome to the HP support community.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to scroll to Tools, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow  to scroll to Print Quality Report, and then press OK. The printer prints the test page.

If that does not print fine, follow the below steps to fix the issue:-

Clean the printhead using an automated tool

  1. Load letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the paper tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to select Tools, and then press OK.

  3. Press the Down Arrow  to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK. The printer cleans the printhead and then prints a printhead test page.
