HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-in-One Printer

I just received ink for my new Printer which replaced the old one. Should I send back the old full ink cartridges in the envelope marked return empty ink?

Hi @JoeVos,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's best to return only the empty ink cartridges in the envelope marked for returns. The recycling programs are typically designed to handle used cartridges. Here are a few steps you can take.

  • Keep the Full Cartridges: Store the full cartridges from your old printer in case they are compatible with the new printer or you can use them in the future.
  • Check Compatibility: Verify if the old cartridges are compatible with your new HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e. If they are, you can use them when the current ones run out.
  • Recycling Process: If you decide to recycle, ensure that you only send back empty cartridges in the provided envelope.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
