Product: HP ENVY 4502 e-All-in-One Printer

HP cartridge purchased from Wal Mart - not allow me to return because I opened the box and tried to insert in my printer.  Printer keeps telling me the cartridge is not good.  Put in the one I was going to throw away, and printer worked fine only no ink.  I was told HP would take back cartridges which would not work
