Hi @vellcrow,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Are you using non-HP cartridges?

It might be due to the cartridge being a "clone" or "compatible" cartridge rather than an authentic HP cartridge.

Understanding "Clone" or "Compatible" Cartridges:

  • Clone Cartridges: These are often counterfeit cartridges that may look similar to genuine ones but are not manufactured or approved by HP. They can sometimes be incompatible with HP printers, leading to issues like not being recognized or causing print quality problems.

  • Compatible Cartridges: These are cartridges made by third-party manufacturers that are designed to work with HP printers. While they are usually cheaper, they might not always meet the same quality standards as genuine HP cartridges and can sometimes cause issues.

If the cartridge is from a third-party seller, contact them for support or a replacement. If you believe the issue is with the printer itself, contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
