I bought this specific printer because it takes the 910 ink cartridge you all kept sending me ink long after my last printer stopped working I have about two to $300.00 of ink sitting in a box in my office and I can't use it. It's not right it's a 910 ink cartridge which is what this new HP office 8015 takes and the machine isn't letting me use do you think it's right to charge me again for ink I already have

Hi @HBorla,
Thank you for the response.
Since @zoey7886 is not available at the moment, I'll be assisting you further.
I'm really sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with the ink cartridges and I completely understand how frustrating that must be, especially with having invested in cartridges you were hoping to use.
It looks like there may be a little mix-up regarding cartridge compatibility. The HP OfficeJet 8015 series does indeed use HP 910 ink cartridges, but if your new printer is a HP Smart Tank 8010, that model actually uses bottle-based ink refills and not 910 cartridges, which could explain why the printer isn’t recognizing them.
To avoid receiving any more cartridges you can’t use, you may also want to pause or cancel your Instant Ink subscription. This will stop future shipments until you’re ready or have a compatible printer again.
If you’re unsure which printer model you currently have or would like help managing your subscription, feel free to share more details, I’d be happy to guide you through it!
Warm regards,

Sister Simone Campbell thank you very much hi thank you for your reply I do have the 8015 model. Which takes cartridges 910. I have probably $200 if not more of cartridges that I had from my old unit that went bad and they've just been sitting I bought this specific unit so that I could use the 910 cartridges that I already had I had the previous unit for almost 6 years. I need to know how I can use the cartridges that I'm sitting on since I have already paid for them I had originally cancelled the ink delivery service when my former unit broke down and you all continued to send the cartridges that I could no longer use. I have used HP for the last 30 years this is extremely disappointing and very annoying period. Before I sign up for any more ink service, I would like the privilege of using the ink I've already got.
I have tried to call the company two different times the first young man was very nice and very helpful unfortunately it was the wrong department his name was Lance he connected me to another department and his name was Kay and I believe this was in the Philippines and Kay could have cared less. That's what's his attitude and then when I told him how upset I was he hung up. I have to tell you at this point, if I have to buy another printer it will not be an HP 1 call to

Hi @HBorla,
Thank you so much for your message, and I'm truly sorry for all the trouble you've been through. I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially after making a new purchase with the intention of using up the cartridges you already owned.
Here's what you can do to resolve this:
If your cartridges were sent through HP Instant Ink (they usually say “Instant Ink” on the label), they’re subscription-based and can only be used while enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program. Since your new HP OfficeJet 8015 uses the same cartridges, you can:
Re-enroll your new printer into the same HP Instant Ink account you used before.
Once enrolled, those cartridges should be recognized and usable in the new printer.
If you no longer wish to continue with the Instant Ink subscription after using the cartridges, you can cancel the plan once they're used up. Just make sure the subscription is active while using those cartridges.
If your cartridges are standard retail cartridges (not Instant Ink), and you're still getting an error, try doing a printer reset and firmware update, as sometimes the printer needs to be refreshed to detect older, unused ink.
I know this hasn’t been the smoothest journey, and I appreciate your loyalty to HP. You deserve a better experience, and I hope this helps you move forward without needing to repurchase what you already own.
Let me know if you need help with the enrollment steps or anything else, I’ve got your back.
Warmest regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
