Hi @tnectravel,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 6830 E-All-In-One Printer cartridges. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the cartridges you're using are compatible with your HP Officejet Pro 6830. Sometimes, using cartridges from a different model or brand can cause compatibility issues.
- Inspect Cartridges: Check the cartridges themselves for any visible damage or defects. Make sure the protective tape or plastic covering has been removed from the cartridges before inserting them into the printer.
- Clean Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes, the contacts on the cartridges or within the printer can become dirty or covered in debris, preventing proper communication. Gently clean the contacts on both the cartridges and the printer with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Reset Printer: Try resetting your printer to see if it resolves the issue. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can address compatibility issues with ink cartridges. Update the firmware on an HP printer
