Dear All,
I had prepared a PDF with notes with steps taken between some screenshots, of the various options presented. But unfortunately can’t see how to upload PDF to the forum. Here’s hoping someone can ‘guess’ what I was showing!
I had assumed if I picked ‘a gray’ from here, "something" would have worked. Nothing has! Even "sGray" at bottom of the list … it previewed in B+W, but printed in colour! (and Note to HP: I no longer have the Epson Printer listed … wish I did! – it was so easy to control this, on the Epson !)
I also tried clicking Colour Handling, it had said: Acrobat Colour Management … and changed it to Printer Control Management - hoping.
… that didn’t work, either!
Can anyone put me out of my misery … please!
Thank you, Pippa

Hi,
You must replace any empty ink cartridge to resume printing, you cannot print with empty color ink cartridges with a 8600 printer.

Hi Shlomi
Thank you. Don't worry, I do have all (full), genuine cartridges installed. It's just have a lot of printing to do, and don't need in colour. I want to print black only. Is this do-able!?
Do hope you have a solution.
Best, Pippa

Have just been sent this by a friend who also uses a Mac - it works.
Worth keeping in the 'how to folder'!
