HP Smart Tank 515 Wireless All-in-One

I would like to request servicing for my HP Ink Tank printer. It is not printing properly, the color output is inaccurate, and the printer has accumulated a lot of dust. It likely requires thorough cleaning and maintenance.

I understand you're experiencing issues with your HP Smart Tank 515 printer, including inaccurate color output and dust accumulation. Let's work through this together.

Check Ink Levels and Quality

Run Printhead Cleaning

This helps resolve color inaccuracies due to clogged nozzles.

  • Open HP Smart App or Printer Software on your PC.
  • Go to Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Alternatively, from the printer control panel:

  • Press the gear icon > Maintenance > Clean Printhead.

Align Printheads

  • Misalignment can cause poor print quality.
  • Use the HP Smart App or printer menu to run Align Printhead.

Perform a Nozzle Check

  • Print a diagnostic page to check for missing lines or color issues.
  • If problems persist, repeat the cleaning process up to 3 times.

Physical Cleaning

Since the printer has accumulated dust:

  • Power off and unplug the printer.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the exterior.
  • Avoid using alcohol or harsh chemicals.
  • Clean the scanner glass and ADF rollers if applicable.

Firmware Update

Ensure your printer is running the latest firmware:

  • Visit: Official HP® Support
  • Enter your product name: HP Smart Tank 515
  • Download and install the latest firmware and software.
