ICC support for HP Laser MFP M277DW to lighten picture?

Hi,
Is there any way to use ICC with the MFP M277DW Laserjet printer? It prints too dark; a common complaint HP never addressed (see https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m277dw-printing-too-dark/td-p... and various review sites)

I'm printing more photos these days and I'm over pre-editing them. I've managed to improve things using print density as per the link above, but colour management / ICC profile seems a better path if possible?  I attached various colour profiles via Windows device manager and it had no discernable effect, and the printing preferences control panel doesn't allow custom profiles under the colour tab.

I'm guessing it is not possible, yet hopeful there's a hack/workaround I'm not aware of?

Hi,

ICC Profiles are not supported for such a printer indeed, but please check the Color settings for the driver.

Within the Color tab ensure the Color options are set as Manual, then try selecting a different color theme as Photo or Vivid and check which profile provide you the expected results for your needs:
