Hi @Sezaroo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing two separate issues with your HP OfficeJet 8012 printer: a problem with the color blue not printing properly even though the ink cartridge has half its level, and another issue where connecting the printer to Wi-Fi causes it to lock up. Let's address each issue separately.
Blue Color Not Printing Properly:
Clean the Printhead: The issue with the blue color not printing could be due to a clogged printhead. To clean the printhead, follow these steps:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to "Setup" or "Tools."
- Select "Clean Printhead" or a similar option. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the printhead cleaning process.
- After cleaning, try printing a color document again to see if the issue is resolved.
Check the Cartridge: Even if the ink level is half, there might still be a problem with the blue ink cartridge itself. Consider replacing the blue ink cartridge with a new one to see if this resolves the issue.
Wi-Fi Connection Locking Printer:
Reset Network Settings: If connecting to Wi-Fi is causing your printer to lock up, it's possible that there's a network configuration issue. Try resetting the network settings on your printer:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to "Setup" or "Network" settings.
- Select the option to reset network settings or Wi-Fi settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the network settings.
- After resetting, set up the Wi-Fi connection again from scratch and see if the issue is resolved.
Update Firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Visit the HP support website to check if there's a firmware update available for your HP OfficeJet 8012 printer. If there is, follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Check Router Settings: It's also a good idea to ensure that your router settings are compatible with your printer. Make sure your printer supports the Wi-Fi security protocol (e.g., WPA2) that your router is using. You may need to consult your router's user manual for instructions on configuring compatible settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
