HP Recommended

I bought the recommended cartridge in the HP application for my registered printer. I received the "Incompatible Cartridge" message.  I researched and the only potential issue I can see from my conversation with the useless virtual assistant is:  "If you saw the error after moving your printer from one country/region to another, you might not find ink cartridges with the number you used to buy. In some cases, you need to contact HP Support for a regionalization reset."  because I bough the cartridge in the US and I live somewhere else even though my printer is registered in the US region and the HP application recommended the 952xl cartridge for my 7740 printer.

So, what is this "regionalization reset"?  Can I get real support not virtual.  this is a simple ink cartridge replacement and should not take this long.  Also, HP should not give wrong information on the HP Printer application for my registered products.

I see that you are looking for help with a regional reset on your Printer.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

 

Which country did you move from and to?

Do you have the ink cartridges for both regions?

Do you have a printer USB cable or is it connected wirelessly?

Do you have the printer full feature software or the HP smart app and drivers installed on your PC?

If you meet the above conditions then let me know the following details:

1) The operating system of your PC, is it Windows or Mac?

2) Confirm the printer model.

 

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
