Took out dry 74 and 75 cartridges. Installed new 74 and 75 cartridges. Message returns: Incompatible Print Cartridges. Tried reinstalling the new ones. Same message. Virtual Assistant was of no help. What next?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand you are not able to print due to this error. HP does not recommend the use of non-HP ink cartridges. It may or may not work. HP cannot guarantee its functionality. For more info, refer to - Dynamic Security Enabled Printers
To resolve any ink cartridge-related issues, refer to - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge.

Thanks for the reply. To clarify and add some curious information: I pulled the 74 and 75 cartridges out of HP boxes marked for 74 and 75. The cartridges themselves have hp logos. Now the curiosity: The 74 cartridge itself was labeled on one line 74/350 and on a second line 140/860.
