I ended my instant ink plan since I was not using it to any benefit to me. Now it won't print and says my cartridge can only be use by a printer enrolled in instant ink. When I replace it with a new cartridge, will it begin working again? I saw something that stated i needed to den my unused cartridge back to get it to work again. Seems a bit of a scam to disable my printer because i don't want to be in the ink club.

Hi @kjs150,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you are unable to print with instant ink cartridges after canceling the instant ink service.
HP Instant Ink cartridges do not work after the end of your current billing period, and you are required to return them to HP. To continue printing after your billing cycle ends, make sure you have standard replacement ink cartridges ready to use in your printer.
If you do not have the postage-paid envelope provided by HP, go to Recycle HP Instant Ink Cartridges to order an envelope.*
To know more about the terms for cancellation, you may refer to -Cancel Your HP Instant Ink Service
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

First off, the default response to get a new return envelope is not correct. There is no "order new return envelope" in the help center. After digging a bit I found that I had to go to the ink status page to find the order envelope link. The next problem was since I am not enrolled in the instant ink program any longer, I could not order a new envelope. I know I am "required" to return the cartridges, but what happens if I do not? Because it looks like you won't let me return them.
