HP Color Laser MFP 179fwg
Microsoft Windows 11

I changed the magenta cartidge of my HP MFP 179fwg-printer. After that, it shows incompatible toner for the black cartidge.
I removed the printer from the power supply voltage. After a while I started the printer again but the error message came again.
What could I do to resolve this issue?

Hi @Hans7562,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

Are you using HP genuine ink toners?

Try updating the firmware if not done already. Click here

Please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Make sure the toner cartridge is genuine and compatible with the printer.
  2. Remove the toner cartridge, check for foreign substances on the connector or port, and then reinstall the cartridge.
  3. Turn the printer off and back on.
  4. If the above actions do not resolve the error, replace the toner cartridge.
