HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

Yesterday tried to print some pictures from my computer, and noted that the pictures were not sharp, and the colors were not true.  Replaced my yellow print cartridge, but when I run a test page, the yellow comes out as green.  Printer had been working correctly.  I don't know if this is a software issue, or a hardware.  I have tried to clean the print heads, but no change.  Can you help?

Hi @RonGBruns,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Inconsistent printing colors on an HP printer could be caused by a number of reasons, including:

  • Low ink levels: Check the ink levels of your printer and replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
  • Clogged printhead: Over time, the printhead of the printer can become clogged with dried ink, which can result in inconsistent printing colors. Try running the printhead cleaning utility on your printer to clear any clogs.
  • Incorrect paper settings: Ensure that the paper settings on your printer are set correctly for the type of paper you are using. Using the wrong paper settings can result in incorrect color output.
  • Outdated drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up-to-date. Check our website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer.
  • Environmental factors: Environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and lighting can affect the consistency of printing colors. Try moving your printer to a different location or adjusting the environmental conditions to see if it makes any difference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
