OFFICEJET PRO 8000 SERIES
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer has worked well for 10 months. I tried to replace my black cartridge this week with a new cartridge (902XL). I only use original HP cartridges. It fit in okay but I then got a message that reads: The indicated cartridge (K) is not communicating correctly with the printer. If this problem persists, replace the cartridges.  I have purchased two more cartridges and installed them. Still an issue. Please help.

@Aussiew1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are getting an error for multiple ink cartridges.

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge errors

Also, refer to - Printhead errors

If the error persists, I'm afraid the printer has gone bad as you have already used more than 2 new ink cartridges.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer if it is under warranty.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
