Hi Folks:
The Ink Cartridge Carriage on my very old HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer - E710n Is Jammed and will no longer move over to the left, in order for me to remove and replace my ink cartridges. There is no paper in the printer to jam the Ink Cartridge Carriage, or any other foreign materials. I have cleaned out the Ink Cartridge Carriage and the internal areas of the printer of all dust as well.
I'm hesitant to force the cartage carrier over to the left, for fear that I may really break it!! Is it time to retire this old HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer - E710n?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing carriage jam issues with your HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer - E710n.
Please follow the steps listed below to reset the printer:
1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
3. Wait 60 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
5. Turn on the printer to complete the reset.
