Product: HP PageWide XL 5100 40-in Multifunction Printer with Top Stacker and PostScript/PDF

Just purchased a used Hp Pagewide XL 5100 MFP. When I put HP OEM 843A ink cartridges in I get a message that the cartridge is incompatible. The cartridges that were in the printer were 843C but were expired. Is there something something that needs to be reset?
