HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

Hello.  I need help with my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer.  It has been used as our home printer for light print duty.  Even though I have installed new HP ink cartridges bought at CostCo, I am getting the ink "Cartridge Problem" error on the printer screen and therefore cannot print anything.  All other printer functions are not affected.  I have updated the printer with the latest Firmware, followed the hard power down procedure, cleaned the cartridge leads with a lint free cloth, checked the printhead for any visible damage (none was evident), but the problem persists! Please help.

Hi @JMarques1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer cartridge error!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Let's troubleshoot your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus and fix that cartridge issue:

Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges (not refilled or third-party) and that they match your printer model. For the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus, supported cartridges are HP 950/951 series.

Reseat the Ink Cartridges: Open the cartridge access door. Remove each ink cartridge and inspect it for damage. Reinsert the cartridges one at a time, ensuring they click into place. Close the printer and restart it.
