Keep getting 'Authentication Error' but no error code.
I have an HP Office Jet 3831 and I keep getting the error "Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge. If error persists replace the indicated cartridge." I have tried all the fixes suggested on here; Off/On. Reset, cleaning etc. but the error still persisted until I tried the single cartridge solution which allowed me to print the Network Config Page using the black cartridge only and so proved that the colour cartridge is the issue.
This particular replacement cartridge which was sent to me as part of instant ink deal, differed from my usual ones, and the accompanying note verified this but assured me it was still compatible with my printer. It was, until now.
When I log into my account and view ink status I am told I will not receive ink shipments until the error is resolved!
I have an Instant Ink contract but have had no communication to inform me that there's an issue with a print cartridge and a replacement is on the way. How do I initiate the colour cartridge replacement, please?
