All of a sudden the message ink cartridge problem popped up (no change of cartridge or configuration). I tried numerous times to remove and reinstall with no success. I bought a new cartridge...same thing. I went on the community forum and found the hard reset instructions and followed them precisely - twice - but am stuck at the same error message. Is there anything else to be done.

Tried another cartridge and now the error has changed to incompatible printer cartridge. Have followed all of the instructions to no avail. The only way I can operate the printer is to remove the cartridge from the slot (trip-color) and operate my printer as a black and white only printer.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error
If the error persists with both the color ink cartridges, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
