Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi,

to my surprise suddenly the same ink cartridges I've always bought and used for many years do not fit in my printer.

They are always the same recycled black and color HP62XL ones.

It is not because there is something wrong with the new ones, as the empty ones I have not send off for recycling yet don't fit in anymore either.

I place them as usual in the empty slots, and trey go in and are in the 45 degree slope position. Then I try to push them in further as always, but they don't go in. They remain in that 45 degree angle.

I don't see anything in the empty slots that could prevent them from fitting in. But then again I don't know what might have changed as I've never looked into the slots before. At least not to scrutinize them, even with a flash light.

I've shut the printer down and started it again, but the issue is still there. Also following the suggestions given HP Support Assistant I have on my laptop  It has  advice for stuck cartridges, but I can't more the empty slots to the left or right.

Also unplugging the current and pugging it back in and have the printer start up again did not resolve it.

This really puzzles me...

I took the printer to a repair shop and the man at the desk just clicked the cartridges in their respective slots... 😗

Turns out I had tried to fit the black ink cartridge in the slot for the colored ink, and vice versa. So no wonder they did not go in. 😁

Glad that is solved. 😅

Maybe the option to edit one's post is there, but I haven't seen it. Otherwise I would correct a few typos. So with my apologies....😁
