HP OfficeJet 9012e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a brand new printer because my other 8025 started making white streaks and no matter what I did it would not print quality. The box that my new Hp 9012e came in says 6 months free ink. But when I registered my new printer, it says I will start being charged when I install the next new cartridge. Why am I not getting the 6 months free ink like advertised on the box? That is one of the reasons I bought this printer! And my other 8025 was still under manufacturer warranty but too much trouble to get repaired!!

Hi @shelliebeth,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing print quality issues with your Officejet pro 8025 printer and the free trial months were not credited on Officejet pro 9012

To assist better-

1) Does the copy print out the same way?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?

3)Could you send me an image of the promotional offer(box or the leaflet that came with the printer)?

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page on your Officejet pro 8025

  • On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .
  • Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps!

Let me know.
