Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I ran out of ink in all three color cartridges and for some reason it asked to replace one at a time. First one went without a hitch per the instruction but for the second one the ink carrier did not advance when I opened the door. After running the diagnostic and fix tool on the app and restarting the printer it eventually worked. But for the third nothing has worked so far. What might be wrong and how do i advance to ink carrier? I was able to print something so the ink carrier is not generally stuck, it just wont advance when I open the door.

NB: I did not know it would ask me to change all three cartridges or I would have changed them all at once.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Bamsebjorn,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving carriage jam error.

Try the below suggestions -

Reset the product

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Also, try the steps in the document- Carriage jam or E3 error

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
