HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

I installed HP ink cartridges as they were out of ink. It keeps saying the magenta is damaged or out of ink. If I remove the blue or yellow, the magenta is recognized. When they’re all in together, it gives me the error for the magenta. I’ve reset to factory defaults. Tried unplugging and leaving it off. Anything else I can do to get the error to go away? I’ve tried the 951, 951 xl and an off brand. Still does the same thing.

Hi @Mommajo25,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, then it could be the cartridge is faulty or replaced.

Try updating the Firmware if not done already by selecting your current OS.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
