Envy 4520

I was printing then all of a sudden in the middle of printing I get an error ink cartridge problem

It said to remove and reinstall making sure it is in correctly.

I did and nothing happens I still get the error I even bought a new cartridge and it still says the same thing I have made sure that the printer is updated and I rebooted it and still the same but only the color not the black

Welcome to HP Support Community

I would like to help

Please try these steps

- Turn on the printer.

- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

- Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.

- Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and clean the electrical contacts with a lint free cloth

- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.

- Wait at least 60 seconds.

- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.

- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

- The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

- Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

- Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.

- If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.

Also ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Thank you

HP Envy Photo 7155.  Suddenly I am getting messages that say that  one of the ink cartridges needs to be removed and reinstalled.  I have done that several times, disconnected and restarted the computer, several times, and  cleaned the connections with a lint-free cloth.  I have done everything suggested and still the message reappears.

Can someone help?

Hi Krazy Toad,

Thanks for responding.  I too found that the link you sent does not work.

Are you suggesting that I just replace the cartridge?  I do have a new one on hand.

Thanks for helping.

Marlene

Hi Krazy Toad,

Thanks for your help.  The problem was solved by changing the ink cartridge to a new one even though the ink level was not low.

Thanks,

Marlene

I can't get my new printer working. Seems to be a problem with loading the ink cartridges
