HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer
iOS

I have a Hp Envy 6055 printer. I replaced the tri color and black ink cartridge however it is not recognizing the black ink cartridge.  It doesn’t recognize the new cartridge but it recognizes the old cartridge but there’s no ink in the old one. I’ve tried cleaning the cartridges, unplugging the printer, “resetting it”. I don’t know why it isn’t recognizing the new cartridge . If anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate that. Thank you.

Sounds like that you has an issue with the printerhead.

I myself is not a fan of AIO printers- since they has an reputation of being long- life.

As they had an buid in clock of pre- aging. Like that they were not designed for mor than 2-3 years life span.

But also since if one component is broken- the hole unit is useless( for the scrapyard).

When you mention " reset"- there is 2 types of reseting.

1. Soft

2. Hard reset

This is depending on specific models ( but not applied on all models)

But you also mentioned cleaning printerhead- did you mean via toolbox,or physical?

With physical I mean- take out cartigez- clean with paper( and in worst case tops).

But just make shure not to damage( scratch) any electrical surface- and that there is no traces of cotton left.
