I have a HP Envy 5055 that has been a good printer for me for several years. A month or two ago, it stopped printing and gave me an error saying that the color ink cartridge was not communicating correctly with the printer. It said that if the problem persisted, I would need to replace the cartridge. After doing a few restarts and reconnecting the printer to the computer a few times over several days, I decided the problem was persisting, so the next step would be to get a new ink cartridge. I got a new color cartridge (HP brand) and installed it into the printer. Same issue. I did some more online searching and learned that the printer has a 'clean printer head' option. I tried that a few times, but that didn't do anything. Finally, I found this page in the forum that describes cleaning the contacts. I followed those instructions but it didn't fix or change anything.
Does anyone have any advice on what more I can try with this printer?
