I am receiving an error message instructing me to reinstall my cartridges.  I have followed all the steps including cleaning the contacts and shutting off and restarting my printer.  These cartridges were working fine up to today.  

 

Any Help??

I just had a ink cartridge not installed or damaged error, I called the support line, they had me hold down the power button *while* i unplugged it, and continue to hold the button down for 10 seconds, then plug the machine back in, and it worked.

 

I have the  HP OfficeJet Pro 9020

 

they told me this was a "hard reset"

What was the number you called? I have a different deskjet and this did not help me.

I started a Contact Support process from the HP support site, they have you enter in the serial number, then give you a case number and the toll free number.  When you call the 800 number you have to enter the case number or you can't keep going I think.  Even though they said expect a long wait, it was less than a minute.
