Hello, Please help me with the instructions to setup HP 680 cartridge instead of 652 on my printer (HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3835)> We would like to use HP 680 cartridge  as 652 cartridge is unavailable. We bought the printer in South Africa but  were now back in the India. Also when I contacted your support center, they also suggested the same.  Now when I have ink 680, it says the ink cartridge s not compatible. Please help me to resolve the issue. Thank you.

Welcome to HP Support Community! 

  

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.  

  

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.  

  

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
