Hi @4343JoJo,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP ENVY 6052e All-in-One Printer displays an error message regarding the ink cartridges, even though both cartridges have ink, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check for Proper Cartridge Installation

  • Open the printer's ink cartridge access door.
  • Make sure both ink cartridges are properly installed. They should click into place securely.
  • Close the ink cartridge access door and see if the error message persists.

2. Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts

  • Turn on the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Wait until the carriage moves to the center and is idle.
  • Remove both cartridges.
  • Using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water, gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges. Avoid touching the nozzles.
  • Also, clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges sit.
  • Allow the contacts to dry for a few minutes.
  • Reinstall the cartridges and close the access door.

3. Reset the Printer

  • With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the error message is resolved.

4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer has the latest firmware update. You can check for firmware. updates using the HP Smart app

5. Use Genuine HP Cartridges

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-HP or refilled cartridges might not be recognized correctly by the printer.

6. Reinstall Cartridges

  • Try removing and reinstalling the ink cartridges to ensure they are seated properly.

7. Try a Different Set of Cartridges

  • If possible, try using a different set of ink cartridges to see if the error persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the cartridges or the printer itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
