Hello, I have an HP Deskjet Printer 2775 or 2700 that uses 667 ink cartridges but I can’t find them to buy. I bought a 67 cartridge but when I put them on the printer it shows “eO” and the levels of ink shows empty(even though they are new). I scanned the printer to see what was the problem and it says incompatible cartridges(for me, they look the same)
So, what cartridges can I buy instead of the 667? Is there another one that is compatible with my printer?
Thank you

Hi @Dari93,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing an issue with your HP Deskjet printer, specifically with ink cartridge compatibility. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem.
- Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that you are using the correct ink cartridges for your HP Deskjet printer. The HP Deskjet 2700 and 2775 printers typically use HP 67 ink cartridges, not 667. Make sure the cartridges you have are indeed HP 67 cartridges.
- Genuine HP Cartridges: It's essential to use genuine HP ink cartridges as third-party or remanufactured cartridges may not always work correctly. Counterfeit or incompatible cartridges can cause errors like the one you're experiencing.
- Clean the Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes, the contacts on the ink cartridges or inside the printer can get dirty or covered in ink residue. Carefully remove the cartridges and clean the contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a lint-free cloth or alcohol swab. Ensure they are dry before reinserting the cartridges.
- Update Printer Firmware: Outdated printer firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues. Visit the HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If so, follow the instructions to update the firmware.
- Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve cartridge errors. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Reset the Printer: If the issue persists, you can try resetting your printer to its default settings. Refer to your printer's user manual or HP's official website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
Remember that using non-genuine or incompatible ink cartridges can not only cause compatibility issues but also potentially damage your printer. It's always best to use genuine HP cartridges for optimal performance and to avoid warranty issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
