Why did I get larger ink cartridges for my printer?

Hi @Pegster51,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There are a few reasons you might have received larger ink cartridges for your printer:

Extended Print Life: Larger ink cartridges, often labeled as high-yield or XL cartridges, are designed to last longer than standard cartridges. They hold more ink, which can help reduce the frequency of cartridge replacements and may offer a better cost-per-page ratio.

Printer Model Compatibility: If your printer model supports high-yield cartridges, it's common to get these larger cartridges as they are specifically designed to be compatible with your printer. They fit the same slot as standard cartridges but contain more ink.

Convenience and Cost-Efficiency: Larger cartridges can be more cost-effective over time. Although they might have a higher upfront cost, they generally provide more prints and reduce the hassle of changing cartridges frequently.

Availability: Sometimes, when purchasing cartridges, larger ones might be more readily available or come as a bundled offer..

May I know are you referring to instant ink? If yes,I will need a few additional details to help you with this.

I request you to share all the details in a private message.
