I am setting up my new hp printer deskjet 2000...where do printer cartridges go?

Here's how to do it step by step:

 

How to Install Ink Cartridges in the HP DeskJet 2000

Power On the Printer

• Press the power button to turn on your DeskJet 2000.

Open the Cartridge Access Door

• Lift the front panel of the printer. This is located just above the paper tray.
• Once opened, the cartridge carriage will move to the center—wait until it stops moving and becomes silent.

Remove the New Cartridge from Packaging

• Carefully take the cartridge out of its wrapper.
• Remove the protective plastic tape from the copper-colored contacts.
• Do not touch the contacts or ink nozzles—this can cause ink system failures.

Insert the Cartridge

• Slide the cartridge into its designated slot:
  • Black cartridge goes on the right
  • Tri-color cartridge goes on the left
• Push gently until it clicks into place.

Close the Access Door

• Once both cartridges are installed, close the front panel.
• The printer may prompt you to align the cartridges—follow the on-screen instructions to complete alignment.
