Help I can’t find the cost of the ink cartridges. I have a HP printer 2855 . I’m trying to decide if I should cancel my subscription and buy cartridges elsewhere or if it’s cheaper to keep my subscription.

Hi @Tal56,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When deciding whether to maintain your HP Instant Ink subscription or purchase ink cartridges separately for your HP printer, it's crucial to consider several aspects. Unfortunately, I can't provide the specific costs of ink cartridges for your HP DeskJet 2855 printer directly, but I can guide you on how to make an informed decision.

Considerations for HP Instant Ink Subscription:

  1. Convenience: The subscription service automatically delivers ink before you run out, based on your printing volume.

  2. Cost Efficiency: With Instant Ink, you pay based on pages printed, not the number of cartridges used, making it cost-effective for those who print frequently.

  3. Page Rollover: Unused pages can roll over, which can offer savings if your printing needs fluctuate.

Benefits of Buying Cartridges Separately:

  1. Immediate Availability: You can purchase cartridges immediately when you need them from a retail store or online.

  2. Pay-As-You-Go: You pay only for the items you use, which might be cheaper if you have very low printing needs.

Steps to Compare Costs:

  1. Check Subscription Cost: Review your current Instant Ink plan to see how much you are paying monthly.

  2. Research Cartridge Prices: Look up the cost of individual ink cartridges compatible with your HP 2855 printer on HP's official website or reputable retailers.

  3. Calculate Cost per Page: Estimate your average monthly printing volume to calculate and compare the cost per page with the Instant Ink plan.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
