When I attempt to refill the tank, the bottle does not empty. All covers are open, other ink refill bottles worked perfectly, black ink bottle will not empty into tank. Perhaps a clogged port?

@artemisia12, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Smart tank 7301!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like the black ink bottle may have a clogged nozzle or the tank's inlet might be blocked. Try these troubleshooting steps:
Check the Ink Bottle Nozzle:
- Gently squeeze the bottle (without excessive force) to see if ink flows.
- Inspect the nozzle for any dried ink or obstruction.
- If clogged, wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Ensure Proper Bottle Positioning:
- Align the bottle correctly with the tank’s refill port.
- Hold it vertically and let gravity do the work without squeezing too hard.
Check the Ink Tank Port:
- Inspect the black ink tank’s opening for any dried ink or debris.
- Use a clean, damp cotton swab to gently clear any blockage.
Try a Different Ink Bottle (if available):
- If you have another black ink bottle, test if it flows properly to rule out a faulty bottle.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
