This is a crock that I can’t speak to someone. The printer says the ink wells are fine, but the quality of printing is illelible

Hi @Imdam2002,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Use Genuine HP Cartridges

HP recommends using genuine HP ink or toner supplies. Non-HP or refilled cartridges may not produce the expected quality or reliability. You can check the authenticity of your cartridges on the HP anti-counterfeit webpage.

Check and Replace Low or Empty Cartridges

Step 1: Check the Estimated Ink Levels

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Ink Level Indicator icon.
  2. The control panel will display estimated ink levels.

Step 2: Replace Low or Empty Cartridges

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Open the cartridge access door.
  3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.
  4. Push in on the front of the cartridge to release it, and then pull it toward you to remove it.
  5. Insert the new cartridge into its slot and push it forward until it snaps into place.
  6. Repeat for any other low or empty cartridges.
  7. Close the cartridge access door.

Use the Automated Tool to Clean the Printhead

  1. Load plain white paper into the tray.
  2. On the printer control panel, swipe to Setup, and touch the Setup icon.
  3. Navigate to Tools, and touch Clean Printhead.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions. You may need to repeat the cleaning process several times to restore print quality.

I hope this helps.
