Had problem with inkjet cartilage. Instead of buying an off-brand cartridge, I bought a cleaning kit. Thought it went well. Reinstalled and put new ink cartridges in. Getting error message: previously installed hp cartridge. I replace that one then it wants a different one. Have done the unplug replug suggestion but doesn't work. Unplugged from powerstrip and plugged directly into wall socket. Repeated plug, unplug but didn't work. Haven't been able to find a genuine HP ink cartridge carrier. Will that solve problem? Which generic brand is best?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
