Hi @Chrys17,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer's cartridge!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Check Cartridge Installation
- Open the printer cover and remove the black cartridge.
- Reinsert it firmly until it clicks into place.
Align the Printhead
- Go to HP Smart app > Printer Settings > Print Quality Tools > Align Printhead
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridge and wipe the copper contacts with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert it and restart the printer.
Check Ink Levels & Use Genuine HP Ink
- If using a third-party cartridge, it might not work due to HP’s firmware restrictions.
- Try a different genuine HP 67 black ink cartridge if possible.
Run a Printer Self-Test
- Press and hold the Resume (⚠️) button for 5 seconds.
- If the test page prints, the issue is with the computer settings.
Uninstall & Reinstall Printer Driver
- Go to: Control Panel > Devices and Printers
- Right-click the printer, select Remove Device.
- Download and install the latest driver from HP’s website.
Try these steps and let me know what happens! 😊
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
