HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP-7525 printer has been a workhorse and always reliable. I replaced the print head a number of years ago when cleaning no longer improved the results. (I was still able to purchase an original OEM print head at that time.) When my print quality again showed progressive deterioration last month, I was forced to purchased one on the internet advertised as "new". After carefully installing it, the printer came on as normal, completed the boot cycle, but it would not print, not from a document nor from the printer tools menu. No error codes nor failure messages,  Finally I decided to reinstall my original print head which was printing black pages fine, but colored pages were streaked. When all was carefully reinstalled I turned it on. The normal 7-8 minute cycle associated with such a restart proceeded normally, but when it got to aligning the printer it stopped cold and a message said the printer had failed and to call HP. I tried a partial reset via the hidden maintenance menu, but to no avail. I also tried cleaning the original with hot water/paper towel treatment HP recommends, but again no luck.  Since the original print head is still serviceable and was working, I'm hoping there is another way to reset the printer and bring it back to life.
